Anti-Discrimination Code & Inclusion Policy

Purpose and Zero-Tolerance Commitment
The World T20 Continent Cup ("WT20CC"), organised by Atherra Sports Private Limited, is committed to providing an environment that is inclusive, respectful and free from discrimination, harassment and prejudice in all forms.
WT20CC adopts a ZERO-TOLERANCE POLICY towards discrimination, harassment, victimisation, bullying and any other conduct that treats a person less favourably on the basis of a protected characteristic or that undermines the dignity and wellbeing of any individual connected with the tournament.
Every Player, Official, Coach, Team Manager, Support Staff member, Match Official, Agent, Representative, Organiser, Contractor, Volunteer and other accredited person must comply with this Anti-Discrimination Code.
Ignorance of this Code shall not be accepted as a defence.
Who Is Bound by This Code
This Code applies to all persons involved with WT20CC, including:
- All WT20CC players
- Team owners and representatives
- Coaches and assistant coaches
- Team managers and support staff
- Match officials and tournament officials
- Medical and fitness staff
- Agents and player representatives
- Organising committee members
- Contractors and accredited personnel
- Media and broadcast personnel
- Volunteers and other tournament-accredited persons
- Any person directly or indirectly participating in or connected with WT20CC
All persons covered by this Code are individually responsible for understanding, upholding and promoting its principles.
Protected Characteristics
Discrimination or harassment on the basis of any of the following characteristics is strictly prohibited:
- Race, ethnicity or national origin
- Colour or caste
- Religion or belief
- Gender or gender identity
- Sexual orientation
- Age
- Disability or medical condition
- Pregnancy or maternity
- Marital or civil partnership status
- Socioeconomic background
- Language
- Political opinion
- Any other characteristic that has the effect of undermining a person's dignity
This list is illustrative and not exhaustive. WT20CC will treat any conduct as prohibited where it has the purpose or effect of violating a person's dignity or creating an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating or offensive environment.
Prohibited Conduct
The following forms of conduct are strictly prohibited under this Code.
Direct Discrimination
Treating a person less favourably than another person because of a protected characteristic, including making decisions about selection, participation, accreditation or access on discriminatory grounds.
Indirect Discrimination
Applying a provision, criterion or practice that is neutral on its face but which puts persons with a protected characteristic at a particular disadvantage, and which cannot be justified as a proportionate means of achieving a legitimate aim.
Harassment
Unwanted conduct related to a protected characteristic that has the purpose or effect of violating a person's dignity or creating an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating or offensive environment. This includes:
- Verbal abuse, slurs, insults or offensive language
- Gestures, actions or behaviour intended to demean or intimidate
- Unwanted physical contact
- Displaying offensive material, symbols or imagery
- Online, social media or digital harassment
- Persistent unwanted conduct of any kind targeting a protected characteristic
Victimisation
Subjecting a person to a detriment because they have made, supported or are believed to have made a complaint or report under this Code, or because they have participated in an investigation or proceeding under this Code.
Incitement
Encouraging, instructing, inducing or assisting another person to engage in any form of discriminatory conduct prohibited by this Code.
Discriminatory Public Conduct
Any public statement, gesture, social media post, interview, broadcast commentary or other communication that promotes hatred, discrimination or prejudice on the basis of a protected characteristic.
Specific Obligations of Participants
All persons bound by this Code must:
- Treat every individual connected with WT20CC with dignity, courtesy and respect at all times.
- Refrain from making discriminatory remarks, gestures or communications in any setting, whether public, private or online.
- Not use dressing rooms, team spaces, social media platforms, broadcast media or any other forum to demean, humiliate or harass any individual.
- Actively contribute to an inclusive environment within their team, department and the broader WT20CC community.
- Comply with any reasonable instruction or direction issued by WT20CC in relation to inclusion and diversity standards.
- Not retaliate against any person who raises a complaint, reports a concern or participates in an investigation under this Code.
Duty to Report
Every person bound by this Code has a responsibility to report any conduct they believe constitutes a violation of this Code, whether experienced directly or witnessed.
A report should be made promptly if a person:
- Experiences discrimination, harassment or victimisation;
- Witnesses discriminatory conduct directed at another person;
- Becomes aware of a pattern of discriminatory behaviour within a team or group;
- Receives communications containing discriminatory content;
- Is asked or pressured to participate in discriminatory conduct;
- Has reasonable grounds to believe a violation of this Code has occurred or is likely to occur.
Reports may be made to the WT20CC Tournament Director, an appointed Integrity Officer or directly to Atherra Sports Private Limited. All reports will be handled confidentially and with appropriate sensitivity.
Investigation and Sanctions
All reports and complaints under this Code will be reviewed promptly and fairly. WT20CC reserves the right to investigate any alleged violation, including through an independent process where appropriate.
Sanctions for violations of this Code may include:
- Formal warning
- Suspension from matches, training or tournament activities
- Removal of accreditation
- Exclusion from the tournament
- Financial penalty
- Referral to relevant national or international sporting authorities
- Any other sanction deemed appropriate by the WT20CC Organising Committee
Sanctions will be proportionate to the severity of the violation. Repeated or aggravated conduct will be treated more seriously. The right of any accused person to respond to allegations before a sanction is imposed will be respected.

Official Document
This Anti-Discrimination Code is issued by Atherra Sports Private Limited on behalf of the World T20 Continent Cup (WT20CC). All participants are bound by this Code from the moment of accreditation. Questions regarding this Code may be directed to the WT20CC Tournament Management.
